L’idea del nostro primo prodotto Remo® è nata nei laboratori dell’Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia lavorando sul controllo delle protesi di mano.

Remo è una piattaforma riabilitativa composta da uno strumento indossabile in grado di registrare il movimento e l’attività muscolare, collegato via Android ad una piattaforma in cloud dove l’Intelligenza Artificale valuta gli esercizi svolti dal malato (e.g. post icutus) e supporta il terapista e il malato nel processo riabilitativo.

Morecognition intende rivoluzionare il mondo della riabilitazione dei lungo degenti, proponendo un modello di business e una tecnologia dove il malato paga solo per l’efficacia del trattamento.

L’utilità sociale, soprattutto a seguito dell’arrivo di una pandemia, è dare un continuo alla riabilitazione che altrimenti le strutture pubbliche interrompono dopo pochi mesi e laddove il 90% dei malati sopravvive e necessita di proseguire con gli esercizi motori e non solo.

Al momento siamo a TRL8 per quanto riguarda il sensore che è stato certificato come dispositivo medico di Classe I e testato presso l’IRCSS San Camillo di Venezia in 2 trial clinici su più di 120 pazienti. L’App e la piattaforma in cloud sono a TRL7 e sono oggetto di una sperimentazione sull’usabilità (UX) e presto rientreranno in un trial clinico.

Abbiamo partecipato e vinto parecchi progetti EU (SME1, Permides, Cross 4 Health, DIH Hero, IPA4SME), tra i quali menzioniamo il Seal of Excellence per la call Accelerator.

The idea of our first Remo® product is born in the labs of the Italian Institute of Technology working on the hand prostheses control loop.

Remo is a rehabilitation platform consisting of a wearable device able of recording movement and muscle activity, connected via Android to a cloud platform where the Artificial Intelligence evaluates the exercises performed by the patient (eg post stroke) and supports the therapist and the patient in the rehabilitation process.

Morecognition intends to revolutionize the world of rehabilitation for long-term patients, proposing a business model and technology where long term patient pay only for the therapy effectiveness.

The social utility, especially following the arrival of a pandemic, is to give continuity to the rehabilitation that otherwise public facilities interrupt after a few months and where 90% of the post-stroke survive and need to continue with motor exercises and more.

We are currently at TRL8 as regards the sensor which has been certified as a Class I medical device and tested at the IRCSS San Camillo in Venice in 2 clinical trials on more than 120 patients. The App and the cloud platform are at TRL7 and are the subject of a usability trial (UX) and will soon be part of a clinical trial.

We have participated and won several EU projects (SME1, Permides, Cross 4 Health, DIH Hero, IPA4SME), among which we mention the Seal of Excellence for the call Accelerator.
