Milan, 15 October 2014 - We are back with the fifth edition of the Lifebility Award, a national competition founded in 2009 by the will of the LIONS, with the aim of rewarding projects and innovative ideas from young people  with sustainable social proposals, for the improvement, simplification and accessibility of public and private services in the community. It has made possible thanks to the sponsorship of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, in collaboration with Prospera and the patronage of the Lombardy Region, the National Research Council and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. The competition has been a great success in previous editions, with 500 projects from all over the Italian territory, more than 90 finalists trained and supervised by Associatione Prospera's tutor on Business Plan and 50 winners
that can give a positive message to other young people. From the site you can download the document that presents them all individually.

New in this edition is the presence of well-known actor and television host Marco Columbro, who has decided to support the initiative with his sympathy and authenticity and to be our testimonial.
Like the past editions, the award provides for the submission of project proposals in one of the following six categories:

  •  Energy and Environment
  •  Transport and Mobility
  •  Communication, Photography and Design
  •  Bioengineering and Biotechnology
  •  Nutrition and Quality of Life
  •  Tourism and Cultural Heritage

Participation in the competition is reserved for residents in Italy between 18 and 30 years of age, whether they are students or workers. Projects may be submitted no later than March 31, 2015, by accessing the site

Proposals will be accepted both individual and team made. The winners will receive a book of vouchers for assistance to startup business, a paid internship  at one of the sponsors of the initiative or a cash prize worth EUR 5,000.00, before taxes and fees.

The commission will make an initial selection of minimum 2 and maximum 6 projects by category, for a maximum total of 36 finalists. Each of the finalists will win a first prize : the course and tutoring taught by Prospera on how to rework their ideas in a Business Plan version. After about a month of tutoring the Selection Committee will meet again to asseign the final award prizes to the winners of the category, to validate the Social Plus defined by voters in the network and to distribute the residues prizes not awarded to the winners (especially STAGE).
